Limestone Loses to Mercyhurst in Regular Season

ANNAPOLIS, Md..The No. 10 Limestone College mens lacrosse team lost to No. 3 Mercyhurst, 9-5, on Sunday afternoon at Broadneck High School. The Saints fall to 11-6 overall this spring. The loss ended a six game winning-streak for Limestone. While Mercyhurst gained a 4-0 lead in the first quarter, the Saints recovered to tie the score, 4-4, at halftime. The Lakers scored four unanswered goals while Limestone scored one towards the end of the game. Brad Patridge (Dublin, Ohio) had two goals and an assist for Liemstone, while Colin Bell (Victoria, British Columbia, Canda) had a goal and an assist. Harley Beekman (Amsterdam, N.Y.) and Drew Comeau (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) also tallied goals. Limestone awaits to hear if the team has been selected to advance to the NCAA tournament. That announcement will be made on Sunday night on the CSTV selection show. |
