Adelphi Hands Limestone Fourth-Straight Loss

BROOKLANDVILLE, Md.—Adelphi’s men’s lacrosse team proved to be too much for Limestone as the Saints suffered their fourth consecutive loss, 16-6. Limestone falls to 3-4 overall while Adelphi improves to 4-1.

While the Saints and Panthers each had two goals in the first period, Limestone couldn’t contain Adelphi’s scoring in the remaining quarters, as the Saints were outscored 14-4 in the last three periods. Adelphi recorded 48 shots for the game while the Saints posted 22.

Limestone goalkeeper Marty Ward (Syracuse, N.Y.) had 18 saves for the match, while Brian Volpi had eight.

Limestone’s Drew Comeau (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada) had three goals, Brad Patridge (Dublin, Ohio) had two, and Brock Spilker (Pasadena, Md.) scored one.

Limestone travels to Belmont Abbey in Belmont, N.C., for a game on March 22 at 3 p.m.
